Taken on a summers evening in 2016 the alignment of this sunset couldn't have been better, the sun can just be seen poking through the gothic lantern spire of St. Nicholas' Cathedral. This isn't the most common or popular location for photographing the Newcastle and Gateshead skyline but it is one of my favourites. Being able to capture the silhouettes of some the most iconic buildings and structures of the North East in one frame is quite satisfying and the resulting image speaks for itself.
